Peter Watson and Lucy Gauvin, the partners of Watsons Lawyers, have more than 42 years legal experience.

Peter has been a partner in leading eastern states commercial law firms as well as in-house counsel with a large corporate.

Lucy, our newest partner, joint Watsons Lawyers from Allens Arthur Robinson's Melbourne office soon after Watsons Lawyers was formed. Already being an excellent lawyer, well trained by one of Australia's leading firms, Lucy has grown up in her legal career doing it our way. So much so that in a short space of time she has developed a very close working relationship with many of our clients with whom Lucy virtually has daily contact.

Together the Watsons Lawyers' partners bring immense knowledge of corporate and commercial law, a wealth of experience in dealing with a range of issues from the delicate to the complex and an understanding, derived from personal experiences, of what clients really need from their lawyers.

At Watsons we appreciate the importance of strategic commercial advice without losing the legal perspective. We look for legally sound practical solutions to our clients problems.

When matters require more resources or other specialist input than are available within Watsons, clients still get the benefit of the firms approach and experience. Relationships developed over time with other firms enable Watsons to obtain the most suitable resources. The external lawyers become temporary members of the team under Watsons' leadership.

Being based in Adelaide, our overheads are lower than in most other states, so our rates can be, and are, considerably lower than eastern states firms, as well as many Brisbane and Perth firms. Yet our clients have the benefit of an organisation with equivalent experience and expertise in commercial and corporate matters to Australia's leading law firms.
