Professional Experience
Lucy joined Watsons Lawyers in August 2004, having come from the Melbourne office of Allens Arthur Robinson, where she completed her articles in 2003.
Lucy's experience in her short legal career includes working in the Energy, Resources and Infrastructure and Corporate and Commercial departments of Allens Arthur Robinson in Melbourne, where she was exposed to, and worked on, a number of large, high profile transactions, including the $2.3 billion re-franchising of the Melbourne metropolitan train and tram passenger rail services, the sale of Rio Tinto's US$86 million interest in the Sepon copper and gold project in Laos to Oxiana Limited, and the takeover of Tab Limited by Tabcorp Holdings Limited. Lucy was also involved in a number of infrastructure related projects, including a tender for the Melbourne Metropolitan Mobile Radio Project and the redevelopment of the Royal Melbourne Showgrounds.
Since joining Watsons Lawyers, Lucy has been closely involved with all of our clients in the wide range of commercial and corporate work we do with them. Several of our clients have quickly come to appreciate her unique legal, commercial and communication skills, and in spite of her evident youth, now choose to refer their problems and transactions directly to Lucy.
Lucy is such a valued member of our team that she was promoted to Partner on 1 January 2008.
